A Sapphire Night

A small bluebird chirps from her fir tree post, watching as dusk fills the valley and transforms her world into the soft, nighttime blue.

Inspired by the beauty of Alberta’s mountains at dusk, this piece was created on a birch panel, something uncommon in my creative process, giving it a different texture and appearance than my other pieces.
