First Dust of Snow

 A tiny chickadee alights on the snow dusted tip of a frosty fir tree. The sparkling white flakes float gently down as winter begins to reclaim the land.

Nearly every day I greet a feathered friend in my backyard, and very often it is a small chickadee darting up a branch or fluttering across the grass. I love to listen to their sweet call echoing around the neighbourhood where I grew up.
